Much of what's transliterated will also become openly available. |

• Currently covers most noun cases and verb tenses.
• Longest suffix match is highlighted as the most likely option.
• Words are linked to the Samsad online Bengali-English dictionary. |

Abstract |
The Western traditional Gaudiya community is scattered across the globe. E-mail and online forums are often practically the only form of association they get. Yet, the written medium is so limited. There is nothing like personal contact with others, but voice is one step upward from text, carrying much more import. Regular phone conferences should be there to keep devotees in touch with each other and to facilitate a deepening of relationships. |

Fonts are a concern for anyone working with text transliterated Sanskrit or Bengali, as most available fonts lack the diacritics needed.

Abstract |
XHK is an acronym for eXtended Harvard-Kyoto. XHK is an extension for the popular Harvard-Kyoto transliteration system, developed to better accommodate transliteration of Bengali script.
The standard is accompanied with XIAST, the corresponding extensions to IAST, the International Alphabet of Sanskrit Transliteration, that on its own is slightly insufficient for the exact duplication of the full range of the Bengali alphabet. |
